The Departed was one of the most self-indulgently violent thrillers of 2006 With a star-studded cast featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Martin Sheen, Vera Farmiga, and Jack Nicholson, the Martin Scorsese mob movie held no prisoners.Its success was largely down to William Monohan's expertly balanced script. But according to Damon, Nicholson wasn't content being given the coolest lines.

Scorsese did eventually embrace at least a tiny portion of Nicholson's proposals, as disturbing as they may seem. Rather of merely executing a guy, the final version of the film depicts Nicholson's character killing a lady (Nicholson's suggestion), attended by Winstone, and delivering the "She fell funny" line.

Geez. She Fell Funny. One of the more bizarre moments of humor in the movie, Frank makes this remark after shooting a man, then a woman, in the head. The woman leans forward and collapses across the man at an angle instead of falling forward as he did. Frank is put off by how she fell, or maybe amused.
