On September 28 th, 2023 the Council appointed a new European prosecutor to the European Public Prosecutor's Office: Miranda De Meijer. Her mandate is due to start on the 1 st of November 2023, for a non-renewable period of six years. Her nomination led to the completion of the partial renewal of the EPPO College.

28/09/2023 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 28 September, the Council of the European Union announced the appointment of Miranda de Meijer of the Netherlands as new prosecutor at the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO). Her term of office, which takes effect on 1 November, will last 6 years, with no possibility of renewal.
